We made it! The SeedScience project will officially start in September!
SeedScience is pleased to announce that we are among the winners of the “youth exchange” grants, financed by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs! The amount of the funding will be communicated to us soon.
SeedScience was presented as a project of the University of Rome Tor Vergata. We competed with more than 60 projects and ranked 5th. As for the grant guidelines, the financing will cover the first 6 months of our project from September 2018 to March 2019. They’ll be equally subdivided between Ghana and Kenya collaborating with Patriots Ghana and Common Ground for Africa.
What about the money from the crowdfunding campaign?
These funds will be entirely allocated to the following phase in Uganda (Bondeko center) and Tanzania (Ngerengere River Eco Camp) that will start indicatively around April-May 2019, shortly after finishing the phase in Ghana and Kenya.
We’ll leave open the crowdfunding campaign until its planned conclusion. All the funding exceeding the orginal goal wil be employed to improve the quality of the teachers’ training. During the next days we’ll give you all the details about this. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information.
So, what happens now practically?
We’ll dedicate the summer to the preparation of the experiments kits and at the same time we’ll go on spreading SeedScience. We believe it’s a great project and we want it to be known as much as possible.
Thank you all for supporting us during these first months, let’s go on together. This is just the beginning!
